• People seem to speak softly or mumble
• You have difficulty hearing when background noise is present
• You misunderstand what people are saying

• You have ringing in your ears
• You have ear pain

What Can I Expect During My Hearing Test?

A comprehensive hearing evaluation differs significantly from hearing screens that are typically provided at work or at your pediatrician or family doctor’s office. Conducted by our licensed, board-certified audiologist, it is much more thorough and requires approximately 30 minutes.  Specifically, it measures:

• Simple, pure frequency sensitivity
• Speech sensitivity
• Ability to understand like-sounding words
• Middle ear function
• In addition to testing and measuring your ability to hear simple frequencies, we also evaluate your ability to understand what you are hearing.
