Patient history and exam findings can certainly raise suspicion of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, but a definitive diagnosis requires an overnight Sleep Study or Polysomnography. Monitored sleep studies performed in a sleep lab are the gold standard for making an accurate diagnosis. EKG-type leads are used to measure 10 physiologic parameters to give our patients an accurate and definitive diagnosis.
